ATF Week 8: This Week's 'Added to Favorites'
Spring jacket edition. Mugler, JPG, and perfect tailoring.
I didn’t intend to make this entire weekly roundup entirely jackets, but looking back on this week’s browsing I had no other choice. There were so many good jackets, and right now is the perfect time for jacket layering. I love a jacket-as-a-shirt moment, and a lot of these fit the bill. And again, I aimed for a Friday post, and again, I missed the mark. So, I hope this is a fun little Saturday morning scroll.
This houndstooth double breasted blazer looks way more expensive than it actually is… at $40. It reminds me of Old Céline and YSL.
I’m a jacket phase, and I personally believe croc embossing is the best way to dress up a leather jacket. The gold buttons and slim silhouette also definitely help. This Escada jacket is $200, and perfect for spring layering.
Everyone should know about 23 Lux. They have the best staple wardrobe pieces - like this oversized vintage Oscar de la Renta blazer on sale for under $65.
Another great spot for vintage gems - Thriftwares. This Escada pinstripe suit is under $200. And the fit is amazing.
Who doesn’t love a lightweight tailored jacket for spring? Even better if it’s pinstripe, and even better if it has waist-cinching details (refer to previous newsletter about Milan styling trends).
This jacket kind of reminds me of my grandma, but styled with a straight leg jeans, some flats, and really good bag, it has potential.
Chocolate brown is having a moment, and I am loving this collar shape right now. The velvet just elevates it even further. This jacket is under $50, so someone scoop this up.
Right up there with chocolate brown is cobalt as my favorite color right now. And I have a hard time saying no to a good plaid. This jacket is both.
Vintage Jones NY isn’t just for your grandma (and Talbots, but this isn’t about that). This blazer looks incredibly expensive, so you don’t have to tell anyone that it’s only $28.
I think my favorite find this week. I’m a sucker for just a really good, really simple blazer. And the hourglass shape is the silhouette for the season. This looks like this season’s Gucci, but it’s $50.
As you have probably learned from my previous newsletters, my hunt for the perfect leather bomber was a long, eventually fruitful venture. But along the way, I found some really good options. This vintage Banana Republic suede jacket is one of them.
Sometimes, it’s all in the details. This blazer has really good details.
Anyone in the market for vintage Mugler? The shaping and stylelines in this blazer look absolutely stunning.
If wool isn’t what you’re looking for, here is a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier denim jacket.
In my humble opinion, everyone should have a solid leather blazer in their arsenal. This jacket is currently listed for $15, with no bids.
Another Mugler with a great shape, and this jacket has extra fun buckle and fur details. It’s also under $300.
Ok, one more Mugler blazer here.
Rounding out the roundup with this 90s plaid cropped jacket. I have the blazer and skirt version of this plaid, so do I maybe need the cropped version as well?
So into the hourglass shape of #10! How do you find all of these gems!??
So nice! Wondering if you have the link for blazer #10?
