ATF Week 7: This Week's 'Added to Favorites'
I love calf hair. Plus Vivienne Westwood under $350, and some fun spring jackets - perfect for layering in the coming crisp mornings.
Happy Saturday my thrifty fashion friends. I know this is usually a Friday newsletter, but I’ve been a bit busy, ok? My apologies. To make it up to you, I’ve put together a particularly good roundup - if I do say so myself. Starting off strong with a fabulous Burberry trench with contrasting collar. And I found some really good Vivienne Westwood, both under $350. And so, so much calf hair.
It’s officially trench weather. This Burberry piece also has a contrasting collar, which is such an elevated detail.
I have always and will always be a pony hair lover. And this bag just really does it for me.
Suede and calf hair brown loafers - for $33.
Vintage suede. For $17. Say no more.
This Bally leather jacket looks oh so buttery and it’s the perfect layering piece for spring.
I have always been a big proponent of the bucket bag. This Phillip Lim suede version is a bit boxier than the standard bucket silhouette, and the combo brown and black is a great way to add contrast to your outfit.
A good blazer is a girl’s best friend. This vintage Jean Paul Gaultier has the best lapel I’ve seen in a while and the hourglass blazer is having its moment.
I think we can all agree that Tom Ford is unmatched, and this calf hair jacket proves that.
More Tom Ford animal calf hair - imagine this bag with the jacket above?
Really good Gucci loafers.
Ok, maybe the last calf hair piece in this week’s roundup. How could I pass up 2006 calf hair Chanel? And it’s on sale.
Apparently I lied - this jacket is the final calf hair item, and it is currently at the very top of my wishlist.
Mark my words - western is having a revival. This Vivienne Westwood blouse has nailed the details while still feeling elevated.
I’m mentally preparing for spring, which means I’m also doing inventory of my closet. I don’t have a ton of spring tops, so I am seriously considering this vintage YSL vest.
Some more Vivienne Westwood - and this blazer is under $350.
Imagine this skirt with the above blazer? Plaid chic.
And now on to the accessories portion of today’s programming…
a great Gucci belt.
Animal print isn’t going anywhere, so I would say this Gianni Versace zebra belt is a great addition to a wardrobe.
These vintage Fendi sunglasses are the perfect caramel color.
And the final piece - another good pair of vintage Fendi sunglasses.
